Rambla Peligrés
Fruit of the Mother Rock
The Plot
Rambla Peligrés comes from a plot that holds millions of years of geological history. During the Late Cretaceous period, over 40 million years ago, this valley was completely submerged under the sea. A tectonic shift caused by seismic activity gave rise to Cerro de San Cristóbal, and its final elevation formed the Cerrico de Balaguer, the geological heart of our estate, and the defining feature of this plot.
Here, where the soil conceals a limestone plate just half a meter beneath the surface, the roots of our Garnacha Tinta and Garnacha Gris vines struggle to expand. This natural stress regulates vine growth and concentrates energy into each cluster. The result is grapes full of identity, marked by minerality, tension, and a vibrant salinity that are extremely hard to replicate in most soils.
Style
An ethereal, tense, and precise wine.
A Garnacha that doesn’t seek weight or opulence, but rather expresses the limestone, arid, and windswept landscape of the plot, with all its energy intact.
Wine Making
Manual harvest in small 20kg crates prior to strict table selection. 30% whole bunch maceration in concrete vats. Very light, daily punching down of skins during 12-15 days. Light pressing and returned to concrete vats for 10-12 months ageing. Very low overall intervention. Always looking to preserve the authentic essence of the fruit.
Tasting Note
On the nose, it’s fresh, with aromas reminiscent of wild red berries, cherries, liquorice, and Mediterranean herbs like thyme and lavender, with a subtle hint of damp earth.
On the palate, it is direct, with crisp acidity, fine tannins, and pronounced minerality, delivering verticality and a long, elegant, and vibrant finish.

Perfect with seasonal dishes, grilled white meats, light stews, artisanal charcuterie, and aged cheeses.
